Even though I was playing competitive squash 4 to 5 times a week, I could not control my weight. I kept getting a little bit heavier as each year went by, heavier and slower. In thirty years I had grown from 165 lbs to 215 lbs. I didn’t know what else to do, besides the squash, I was already using the treadmill and doing roadwork. I felt that I could not work out any harder. I needed help. I thought hiring a trainer might be the solution. I was intrigued by the “Lifestyle” approach that Emerge was suggesting. I had never done any weight training before. The idea of combining that with a change in how and what I ate looked like a fresh start to me.
