As a type I diabetic since 2000, I figured I already had a “good” diet and 4 to 5 trips to the YMCA per week were keeping me in relatively good shape. On how wrong those assumptions turned out to be!! Before Emerge I would inject 10 to 12 units of insulin at breakfast, another 5 at 11 am snack time and 12 to 15 at lunch. By the end of the day, I’d shot a total of 40 to 50 units of the stuff! On Darrin’s Emerge diet plan usage is 19 to 20 units everyday. No more,no less.HALF THE INTAKE! When I met my trainer Brandon he corrected all of the bad habits I’d picked up as self taught workout accident waiting to happen aback in the “Y”days. I would simply observe the people at the Y doing their work outs and copy them.I’ve injured more muscles doing things incorrectly than I care to mention. With careful meal planning and proper workouts the results were almost immediate and now I was free 4 or 5 more hours a week compared to before. I was on the road to achieving the best physic I have ever had. And all this at 42 years old! I now have a six pack and the physic of a professional athlete.Its taken lots of hard work and discipline, but the results have been incredible. NO CARDIO and NO CRUNCHES or SIT UPS.In summary;I’m in the best shape ever and people compliment me on that every week. I require half the insulin, spend half the time at the gym and feel amazing. My energy levels are up and the Emerge lifestyle has become a way of life for me.
